Still working on that Resolution list? Seems like they don’t change much from year to year. Here, the top New Year’s Resolutions of 2022 to get you started.
Now you’ve made your list, but will you be among the 81% of people who don’t make lasting change? In looking at this list, it’s easy to see why. The resolutions are vague and easy to put off. Instead, how about just picking up to three really important resolutions and be very specific on what they entail.
For example:
Do a YouTube exercise video for 20 minutes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Every weekend take a 2-mile walk.
Eat salad for lunch Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Eat dessert only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Wednesdays.
Call my parents each Friday and text my siblings twice per week.
Sign up for mint.com or ynab.com to track spending and find ways to save. Use those savings to increase my retirement contributions by 2% of income.
Hope that helps you find resolutions you care about and steps to make them a reality!
