Having a Financial Plan Leads to Less Worry Over Money

Do you ever think, “if only I made $X amount per year I wouldn’t worry about money.”  Or maybe, “if I had $1million in the bank, I wouldn’t worry about money.”  Guess what?  It’s not true!  According to a MartizCX Wealth Online Survey of over 1,000 investors with at least $100,000 in investable assets, even wealthy people worry about money.

According to the survey 1 in 10 high net worth investors feel that they are living paycheck to paycheck and have too much debt.  Forty five percent worry that they won’t be able to support their lifestyle in retirement.  Thirty percent believe they will do some sort of part time work in retirement.

Here’s the good news:  Having a financial plan can help savers of all wealth levels worry less about money.  According to the survey 41% of respondents weren’t sure if they would have enough money in retirement to live on comfortably.  That insecure feeling was true for only 26% for people who had an up-to-date financial plan.
