Thanks to my kind Qi Gong instructor, Dean Swerdlin, I am learning more about Chinese Zodiac symbolism.
For financial advisors, the first couple of months of each (Western) calendar year is filled with articles, webinars, and industry meetings about economic projections for the coming year. Interesting, to be sure, and partially right at best.
So, why not look to another form of prediction for the financial markets in 2022? That’s right, what does the Year of the Water Tiger mean for your investments? According to www.daoistfoundation.org,
- Rights and resources will become more contentious, especially around women’s rights and water rights.
- Financial markets may experience unpredictable losses and gains.
- It is prudent to remain cautious in financial dealings this year.
- But don’t be too prudent because “bold and timely action along with proven skill will be rewarded in terms of new career opportunities and real estate ventures.”
- Travel bans may be lifted leading to more fluid trade and social interaction.
Well, that seems to be along the lines of current headlines and just as vague as the American forecasts I have heard. Investments are unpredictable, the real estate market is hot, rights are always at risk of being taken away, and there is never enough water to satisfy everyone.
See, the Chinese and Americans can agree on lots of things!
